The currently exceptional challenges have influenced the process of the CitizEE project. Nevertheless, we stay positive and adapted to a new way of working.
We shifted all our onsite meetings towards virtual ones and we elaborated a new approach on how to increase investments for energy efficiency in the building sector by attracting private investment from citizens. We have achieved very important milestones and findings, created great synergies with other projects and platforms and will participate and hold webinars in renowned events.
Together, we build a greener future through energy citizenship by increasing energy efficiency and sustainability in the building sector!

Citizen funding market assessment report
The objective of this report is to analyze existing experience where public financing instruments (PFI) were used to support the set-up of Citizen Financing Schemes. The report explores financial cooperation between public authorities and cooperatives/crowdfunding platforms by assessing the strategic and operational considerations of combining public funds with citizen funding through Public Financing Instruments and presenting several case-studies that could be used by Pilot Regions as a first step when developing their CFs4EE Financing Scheme.
